Pay range is $20-$24 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of ocean import shipments and distribution of Import Documents
- General business support function as assigned
- Prepare ocean import shipments for assigned customers. This may include customs clearance, updating schedule report, tracking vessel schedule etc.
- Prepare ocean import documents for distribution to brokerage department and/or Customers’ Broker
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery orders with trucking companies, airlines, steamship line and/or bonded facilities in order to obtain necessary information in order to process shipments in the best way.
- Filing and data entry.
- Issue freight bills and invoices to brokers and responsible for collecting unpaid invoices within credit term.
- Collaborate with the team to support various tasks and projects as needed by the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years direct drayage experience
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience.
- Computer skills including expert at MS Office.
- Familiar with Steamship line website , schedule
- Knowledge of international commerce (Incoterms, method, customs regulations etc.) desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skill
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as necessary
- Should demonstrate a willingness and ability to quickly adapt to and learn new computer systems and software
